Meet Miss Beth

My
Story

Hello! My name is Beth and I am the founder, owner, and creative mind behind EverCurious LLC.

For as long as I can remember I have always had a passion for children...even when I was a child myself! Connecting with young children has always come easily to me. Growing up I loved nothing more than interacting with kids, even when I was still a kid myself! From taking high school classes about teaching, running a monthly children's program at my local library, shadowing a preschool teacher at lunch for a year, to teaching energetic toddlers gymnastic after school... I was simply smitten with teaching, mothering, and lending all my creativity to these incredible tiny humans.

During college I started nannying and my love for infants and toddlers continued to grow. From understanding their physical needs, to their psychological ones, I couldn't seem to learn enough.

As a bonus, my hobbies also seemed to pair really well with taking care of kids. My singing, dancing, over the top "theatrics," arts, crafts, and love of princess songs, I seemed to rocket to celebrity status among kids under 6.

I retired as a nanny when I had my own two children. I poured my heart and soul into those precious babies of mine. Suddenly, as children do, my children grew older. When they journeyed off to school I floated around feeling a bit lost. My babies were no longer babies! I needed to find myself again.

It was then, that I found myself landing a job at the Valparaiso Community Library. It was a place to funnel all my passion, creativity, and excitement once again. I worked as the children's program coordinator for about 3 years. It was during those years that I developed a music program, read thousands of books during storytime, tried to convince toddlers yoga was cool, created engaging and hands on science programming all for the local kiddos, sewed and donned countless princess dresses, and, slowly, became known around town as, "Miss Beth."

(Or, perhaps as "that crazy chick who goes to

Publix dressed like a princess...")

Which leads me here, to EverCurious LLC. My time at the library was so incredibly meaningful to me that even when I was faced with an incredibly hard decision of needing to leave the position, I knew it wasn't the end for me.

While I have had to refocus and shift, as we all do in life sometimes, I have created this business so that I can continue to do what I love in a way that works for me and my family.

It is such a honor for me to still be able to do what I love; to teach kids, to teach parents about kids, to spread love, joy, and creativity all through my passions. Creating and spreading music, dancing, smiles, laughter and joy, I hope you join me on this journey and together we can be

forever curious.
